About the Role
TESC Contracting is looking for a meticulous Accounting Assistant to enhance its Finance department. This new role is designed to bolster our financial operations and offer comprehensive support across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll functions. It presents a significant opportunity for an individual aiming to establish a robust accounting background while contributing to an expanding company.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll operations.
- Manage the processing of invoices, payments, billings, cash receipts, and perform account reconciliations.
- Assist with collection efforts, respond to vendor and client inquiries, and aid in payroll administration.
- Support month-end, year-end closing procedures, audits, and reporting tasks.
- Maintain precise financial records and ensure adherence to company policies and legal mandates.
- Contribute to the enhancement of financial processes and offer general assistance to the Finance team.
Requirements
- Possess a diploma or degree in Accounting, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Have 2 to 3 years of experience in accounting, Accounts Payable/Receivable, or payroll.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience with payroll software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is advantageous.
- Exhibit a keen eye for detail, strong organizational capabilities, and the ability to manage tasks within deadlines.
- Possess professional communication skills and the capacity to handle sensitive information with discretion.
