About Compound Growth Marketing (CGM)

Compound Growth Marketing (CGM) is a marketing consultancy dedicated to assisting ambitious B2B SaaS and technology companies in achieving $100M+ in revenue through the development of sustainable, repeatable demand generation systems. We focus on three key growth drivers: Deal Volume, Deal Process, and Actionable Insights, encompassing go-to-market strategy, paid acquisition, content optimization, funnel automation, and advanced analytics. We collaborate closely with clients' revenue, marketing, and operations teams to deliver measurable outcomes.

As we expand, we are implementing a pod-based client delivery model and are seeking Account Managers to be the primary relationship anchors for a portfolio of high-growth B2B technology clients.

About The Role

The Account Manager will be the main point of contact for an assigned group of clients, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic liaison between the client's leadership and CGM's delivery teams. This is a strategic role focused on understanding client businesses deeply, ensuring accountability to goals, and aligning CGM's efforts with executive-level outcomes. You will manage approximately 6-10 clients, focusing on maintaining relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring client satisfaction through proactive management and strategic reviews.

What You Do

  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for a portfolio of B2B technology clients.
  • Cultivate and maintain direct relationships with VP and C-suite stakeholders, positioning CGM as a strategic partner.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews focused on future planning and mutual accountability.
  • Facilitate monthly calls to address emerging risks, reinforce strategy, and maintain executive engagement.
  • Manage client onboarding with a formal alignment session to establish goals, stakeholders, and opportunities.
  • Implement proactive communication strategies to prevent escalations and ensure clients are never surprised.
  • Develop and maintain internal account plans and client-facing roadmaps.
  • Monitor account health using objective indicators related to stakeholder access, campaign performance, and planning alignment.
  • Identify and escalate potential churn risks with documented signals and mitigation plans.
  • Report on portfolio health and revenue forecasts to the VP of Client Services.
  • Manage contact strategies across client organizations to build relationships at all levels.
  • Conduct ongoing business discovery to identify client priorities and unmet needs.
  • Identify and pursue organic expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Grow Revenue Under Management by deepening strategic alignment and connecting client goals to CGM's services.
  • Accurately forecast client retention and flag accounts with potential retention concerns.
  • Act as the client-facing lead for a multi-member client services pod.
  • Direct tactical execution to the appropriate delivery teams and provide performance direction to Strategists.
  • Collaborate with various teams (Paid Media, Demand Capture, GTM Engineering) to ensure delivery aligns with client business outcomes.
  • Manage the transition from sales to client services, re-validating discovery and establishing strategic alignment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a marketing agency setting.
  • Proven track record of managing client relationships across multiple seniority levels, including VP and C-suite executives.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams with diverse specializations.
  • Demonstrated fluency with AI tools such as Claude, Google AI Studio, or similar platforms in a professional capacity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into executive-level insights.
  • Strong business acumen and executive presence, capable of leading strategic discussions and engaging with senior buyers.

Nice-to-Have

  • Previous experience with B2B technology companies, either in-house or agency-side.
  • Familiarity with Paid Media, CRM systems, or SEO/AEO.
  • Experience working towards revenue management or quota-based performance targets.
  • Proficiency with collaboration and project management tools like Slack, Microsoft Teams, Asana, ClickUp, Monday.com, HubSpot, and Google Workspace.
