Role overview
This position is focused on driving sales and customer service across a defined territory, covering data solutions such as internet bandwidth, MPLS and cloud, along with voice services like postpaid, broadband and fixed line. The account manager will act as the primary Airtel contact for customers across all three business lines and will be accountable for expanding both customer market share and revenue market share in existing as well as new accounts.
Key responsibilities
- Meet assigned targets for installations across data, voice and fixed line services.
- Identify and win new business opportunities for data, voice and fixed line offerings.
- Increase revenue by promoting multiple products to both new and existing customers.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline for each business line, with opportunities tracked by stage and maturity.
- Stay updated on competitor moves, pricing approaches and market developments.
- Track competing customer offers and shape sales actions for different customer segments.
Account management and business growth
- Develop trusted, long-term relationships with clients.
- Negotiate agreements and close deals to improve revenue outcomes.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within the existing customer base.
- Ensure solutions are delivered on time and aligned with customer requirements.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate should be a graduate with 1 to 5 years of experience. The preferred age range is up to 30 years. Relevant background includes ISP or systems integration companies such as HP or Dell, field sales roles from telecom businesses, wireline, IT/ITeS, BFSI, or other relationship-led selling environments.
