Role overview
The Fitzwilton Hotel in Waterford is offering an opportunity for three Accommodation Assistants to join the team at The Met Bar on Bridge Street. Fitzwilton is a contemporary boutique hotel with 90 bedrooms and suites, combining modern design with classic wood finishes and art elements, and many rooms overlook Waterford’s city views and the River Suir.
The property is ideally placed just a short walk from the city’s main train and bus station, around a five-minute cycle from the Waterford Greenway start point, and close to the main shopping district and Viking Quarter.
What the role involves
The position calls for someone who is professional, reliable, upbeat, and able to communicate well. The right person should also show initiative and be comfortable juggling tasks in a busy hospitality setting.
- Work across all areas of the department and be available for varied shift patterns, including evenings and weekends.
- Handle a fast-moving environment and adjust quickly when priorities change.
- Follow health and safety requirements at all times.
- Clean and check guest rooms and public areas according to hotel operating standards.
- Work to the guidance of the accommodation management team.
- Support colleagues and remain open to new ideas and ways of working.
- Keep standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation consistently high throughout the department.
- Assist with planning, organising, and managing the daily workload for accommodation assistants.
- Attend meetings and team briefings when requested by management.
