About the Role
San Diego FC is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic Part-Time Academy Equipment Manager to support the day-to-day equipment operations for the club’s Academy. The role centers on keeping equipment, uniforms, footwear, and related supplies in order while also helping players and coaching staff with their needs in a high-performance sports and academic setting. The ideal person will be proactive, service-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where organization and reliability matter.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and run a structured system for issuing new equipment, uniforms, and footwear.
- Make sure every item is clearly tagged, decorated/marked as needed, neatly arranged, and stored so players and staff can access it easily.
- Work with the Head Equipment Manager to track the full inventory of team assets, including match kits, training apparel, and other gear.
- Prepare, hand out, gather, and repack match kits for both home fixtures and away travel.
- Handle laundry tasks such as washing, drying, and putting away team uniforms and equipment.
- Ensure kits are individually labeled and branded for both staff and players.
- Keep equipment rooms, locker rooms, and storage areas clean and orderly every day.
Required Qualifications

- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment when required.
Time Commitment
This is a part-time position requiring about 25 hours per week, spread across 5 days at 5 hours per day. Usual hours are 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, and the schedule also requires availability during evenings and weekends.
