Role Overview
The Academic Manager will be responsible for guiding academic operations, strengthening program quality, and supporting faculty and curriculum-related initiatives. This role involves ensuring that academic delivery meets institutional expectations and regulatory standards while helping improve overall learning performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support academic staff, instructors, and program coordinators, including mentoring and team management.
- Plan, roll out, and review academic courses, programs, and curriculum structures.
- Make sure academic activities comply with education rules, accreditation standards, and internal policies.
- Track academic performance indicators and introduce improvements aimed at better learning outcomes.
- Work closely with faculty members and leadership to refine and expand course offerings.
- Handle academic timetables, program execution, and allocation of resources.
- Contribute to curriculum design, evaluation systems, and quality assurance efforts.
- Carry out academic audits and share recommendations for ongoing improvement.
- Help build a supportive academic culture that encourages learner participation and success.
- Prepare reports, analysis summaries, and presentations for senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Education, Academic Administration, Educational Leadership, or a similar discipline is required.
- A master’s degree in Education, Curriculum Development, Educational Management, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in education, academic administration, program oversight, or a similar area is required.
- At least 2 years of leadership or team management experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum planning, education standards, and academic quality systems.
- Excellent skills in leadership, communication, and working with stakeholders.
- Experience with learning management systems and educational technology is an added advantage.
- Good organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate several academic projects and priorities at the same time.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote setup.
