Job description
Role overview
Telford Offshore is hiring a 2nd Engineer for a DP3 accommodation and construction barge operating in Qatar. This position follows a 6 weeks on / 6 weeks off rotation and is intended for someone who can join immediately.
Key purpose of the role
The selected engineer will assist the Chief Engineer in an understudy capacity and contribute to keeping the vessel seaworthy. The role involves managing manpower, maintaining watchkeeping standards, and overseeing the upkeep of mechanical systems onboard.
Experience requirements
- Prior experience serving as a 2nd Engineer on DP vessels is essential.
- Hands-on background with DP3 accommodation or construction vessels fitted with CAT engines is required.
Certification requirements
- DP Maintenance certificate.
- High Voltage certification in line with STCW regulations.
- BOSIET or FOET certification approved by OPITO.
- H2S certification approved by OPITO.
Other details
Rotation: 6 weeks onboard followed by 6 weeks off.
Immediate availability is required.
