Job description
Role overview
An opening is available for a first-shift general cleaner in Kingsport, Tennessee, within a manufacturing facility. This is a full-time, on-site position with a work schedule of Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and occasional Saturday work may be required.
What the job involves
- Keeping the facility clean by sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and wiping down various surfaces
- Collecting waste and removing trash from assigned areas
- Stocking, cleaning, and maintaining restrooms
- Preparing cleaning solutions according to required specifications
- Moving furniture, equipment, or other heavy items when needed
- Noticing and reporting maintenance or repair concerns
- Performing floor-care tasks such as carpet steam cleaning, waxing, and buffing when applicable
- Taking on other related duties as assigned
