Job description
Overview
An established IT systems company in Frankfurt is undergoing a fresh repositioning and is looking for committed team members for varied and engaging support tasks. The role is part of a motivated group with room to contribute ideas and take on responsibility.
Key responsibilities
The position focuses on first-line technical support, handling incoming issues, logging them properly, and resolving standard problems directly where possible. Where an issue needs escalation, you will prepare a clear and complete ticket for second-level support.
- Receive and register technical requests and incidents.
- Resolve common first-level problems, such as basic application issues, Outlook profile setup, absence assistant configuration, simple software installation, VPN setup, non-starting PCs, mobile phone setup, basic checks for network or internet outages, and printer connection on client devices.
- Create accurate and complete tickets for escalation to second-level support.
- Handle locked user accounts and password resets.
Profile
You should communicate confidently, come across in a friendly manner, and work in a solution-oriented way. Very strong German skills in both speaking and writing are required, along with good English skills and a genuine interest in technology.
A strong foundation in Windows 10 is expected, together with good knowledge of Windows Server and experience with software installation, including automated deployment. Additional strengths in one or more of the following areas are welcome: printer setup and configuration, multi-monitor systems, Office 365, networking basics such as IP addresses, routers and switches, and the initial setup of client operating systems.
Benefits
The company offers a fair work-life balance with no overtime and compensatory time off, opportunities to grow and help shape a changing environment, a relaxed and youthful team culture, low hierarchy, a friendly and informal atmosphere, and the option for a job ticket. The employment is permanent, with extensive training and development opportunities, possible home office days, room to contribute ideas rather than being just another employee, responsibility growth over time, team events such as barbecues, a job bike option, regular team meetings, and free hot and cold drinks. Both full-time and part-time arrangements are possible.
Additional information
Applicants are asked to include their salary expectations and the earliest possible start date with their application.
