Test Site Manager

About the role

The Exploration Company is building Nyx, a modular and reusable orbital vehicle designed for space cargo missions and, in the longer term, human transport. Its Future Projects team works on extending these capabilities by shaping and advancing new technologies, products, and programs.

As a Test Site Manager in the UAE, you will support the day-to-day running of the test site through a broad range of administrative and operational tasks. This position calls for someone who takes initiative, notices the details, and can keep several workstreams moving at the same time.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in identifying and choosing appropriate facilities for the test site.
• Help prepare the documents needed to commission and operate the facilities.
• Support the development and AIT teams with operational tasks such as training coordination and cleaning services.
• Make sure the facilities meet safety and security requirements.
• Assist with procurement of routine items such as consumables, day-to-day supplies, PREQs, and other test-site operational needs.
• Coordinate and help ensure timely maintenance of assembly and test facilities in the UAE.
• Coordinate and help maintain security controls and restricted access at the UAE test facilities.
• Carry out additional administrative duties as required to support the team.
• Manage incoming and outgoing communication, including emails and phone calls.
• Support the receipt and dispatch of packages and deliveries.
• Develop, put in place, manage, and ensure compliance with safety procedures in line with applicable regulations and standards.

Skills and knowledge

• High school diploma or an equivalent qualification; further education is a plus.
• At least 5 years of experience overseeing facilities in an engineering environment, ideally within aerospace.
• Working knowledge of UAE regulations, especially those related to safety.
• Confident use of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong planning and multitasking abilities.
• Clear written and spoken communication skills.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills.
• Interest in supporting the growth of the commercial space sector.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, self-directed, and challenging startup setting.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
