Role Summary
This full-time Tender Manager / GEM Manager position is based in the Greater Lucknow Area and involves primarily on-site coordination. The role is responsible for handling the complete tender and GEM process, from identifying suitable opportunities to reviewing eligibility, preparing technical and commercial documentation, and submitting bids within deadlines. The position also includes maintaining and refreshing GEM and other e-procurement profiles, working with internal teams on pricing, product specifications, and compliance, and monitoring tender results to help guide sales planning and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
The role focuses on tracking procurement opportunities from government and institutional buyers, building accurate bid documents, preparing commercial proposals, and ensuring all submissions meet the required legal and regulatory standards. The manager will maintain detailed records of tender activity, generate regular reports, and collaborate closely with leadership to strengthen bid strategy, improve win rates, and support expansion in public-sector and institutional business.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in tender handling, GEM portal operations, and bidding for government or institutional contracts.
- Strong capability in creating documentation, preparing commercial proposals, and reviewing contracts.
- Practical understanding of compliance and regulatory needs relevant to LED products and manufacturing.
- Comfortable using MS Office, e-procurement systems, and basic data analysis tools for bid monitoring.
- Clear written and spoken communication, along with a sharp eye for accuracy and detail.
- Ability to work with technical, sales, and finance teams while handling several deadlines at once.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, commerce, or a similar discipline; exposure to lighting or manufacturing is considered beneficial.
- Capable of working in a hybrid-style environment, with good self-management and time planning skills.
