Role summary

This contract opportunity is for a Telecommunications Specialist who will support the design, rollout, and ongoing upkeep of telecom systems and network infrastructure for a client project. The work is fully remote and can be performed from anywhere.

What you will do

Plan, implement, and fine-tune telecom networks, with hands-on work across VoIP, SIP, and PSTN environments.
Partner with different teams to connect telecom solutions with the existing IT landscape.
Track network health, investigate incidents, and resolve issues quickly to keep downtime low and service stable.
Set up and administer telecom equipment such as routers, switches, and gateways.
Prepare and maintain documentation for network settings, procedures, and policies for both internal teams and external partners.

What the client is looking for

At least 3 years of experience in telecommunications engineering or a similar role.
Practical knowledge of VoIP, SIP, and PSTN technologies and protocols.
Solid understanding of network design, routing, and switching fundamentals.
Experience working with telecom hardware including routers, switches, and gateways.
Comfort using monitoring and diagnostic tools to assess network performance.
Ability to identify and fix complex network problems effectively.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
