Role Overview

This position is for a Student Counsellor based in Chennai, working remotely. The role centers on engaging prospective students through inbound and outbound lead handling, speaking with them by phone and WhatsApp, and helping convert interest into course admissions. As the initial contact point for potential learners, the counsellor will play a key part in helping them choose suitable career directions.

Key Responsibilities

• Speak with student prospects over the phone, understand their career objectives, and recommend appropriate courses.
• Reply to student queries on WhatsApp promptly and professionally.
• Maintain regular follow-ups with leads until enrollment is completed.
• Assist with fee collection by coordinating between students and the finance team.
• Keep communication flowing smoothly between students, trainers, and internal departments.
• Track and update lead details accurately in the CRM system.
• Share clear information about course format, batch schedules, fees, and career assistance.
• Ensure enrolled students are handed over seamlessly to the training team.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant will bring prior exposure to sales, telecalling, or academic counselling, along with strong verbal communication in Tamil and English. Comfort with target-based work, a proactive attitude, and good follow-up discipline are important for success in this role. Eligibility and Requirements

• Prior experience in sales, telecalling, or academic counselling, ideally between 6 months and 3 years.
• Ability to communicate well in both Tamil and English.

• Strong motivation to support students in their learning and career journey.
• Good coordination, organization, and follow-up abilities.
• Any degree graduate may apply.
• Preferred experience in academic counselling: 1 year.
