Role Overview

Bon Appétit Management Company is looking to add a full-time Steward/Porter in Carmel, Indiana. The role is based at Capital Group, 12811 North Meridian Street, Carmel, IN 46032. Only online applications are being accepted.

Schedule

This position follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with additional details to be shared during the interview. There are no night or weekend shifts.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $16.00 to $17.00 per hour.

Role Summary

The steward is responsible for keeping kitchen and food-service areas clean, sanitary, and organized. This includes handling dishwashing equipment, cleaning surfaces and equipment, managing waste, and supporting setup and supply movement as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep floors clean by sweeping and mopping at regular intervals to meet sanitation and safety standards.
• Use commercial equipment such as dishwashers, sanitizing machines, trash compactors, and glass crushers.
• Clean worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food-preparation surfaces.
• Collect, sort, and remove trash and garbage into the proper containers; steam-clean or hose out bins when required.
• Wash dishes, cookware, utensils, and food-service equipment.
• Move supplies and equipment between storage and work areas while following safe lifting practices.
• Help set up banquet tables and front-of-house areas when requested.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and delivering supplies and products.
• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed.
• Follow all sanitation and safety procedures.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

Experience Required

Prior experience in dishwashing and receiving is required for consideration.
