About the role
NAXCON GmbH is seeking a Software Tester for its Bremen location in the defence sector. The company is active in Germany’s IT and engineering landscape, working across software and hardware development, advanced electronics, and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality. Alongside client projects, the team also invests in internal innovation and research and development.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out software testing and prepare the related documentation, including choosing the most suitable test approach.
- Create test specifications and instructions, or build and run automated software tests.
- Evaluate test outcomes and communicate findings clearly.
- Track the status and progress of testing activities.
- Support the preparation of quotations for required software test work.
- Work closely with software developers to implement measures that improve quality.
- Prepare process-related documentation such as test concepts.
- Make sure the defined test coverage is achieved.
- Perform first-level analysis of customer-reported defects.
Requirements
- Several years of practical experience in software testing.
- Strong written and spoken English skills, including technical English.
- Completed vocational training in computer science, such as FIAN, or a technical degree.
- Solid knowledge of scripting languages, for example Python.
- Very good written and spoken German skills.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
