Role Overview
YouTrip is hiring a Software Engineer with a strong backend focus to help build scalable, resilient, and secure systems for its fintech platform. This role is suited to a self-motivated engineer who enjoys working on meaningful products in a fast-moving, collaborative setting.
Responsibilities
- Build, improve, and support reliable backend services and APIs, with Golang as the main development language.
- Take ownership of the full software development process, from understanding requirements and designing solutions to coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
- Produce clean, efficient, and well-structured code that follows accepted engineering standards and best practices.
- Work closely with cross-functional partners to clarify needs, shape technical approaches, and deliver strong software solutions.
- Enhance system stability, responsiveness, and scalability through regular monitoring, tuning, and performance improvements.
- Create and maintain automated tests at the unit, integration, and end-to-end levels to keep the platform stable and dependable.
- Contribute to code reviews, system design conversations, and technical documentation to support engineering quality.
- Keep up with new technologies and assess how they may be applied to the company’s systems.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- At least 4 years of experience in backend engineering, ideally within a high-growth company or fintech environment.
- Solid knowledge of object-oriented and/or functional programming concepts, along with software design patterns.
- Practical experience with distributed systems, microservices, and container tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong experience in automated testing, especially unit and integration testing for backend applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with careful attention to detail.
- Clear written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to explain technical ideas effectively.
- Experience with Golang and/or gRPC is preferred.
