Shopify Product Manager & Developer

Role overview

TechXR Innovations Private Limited is hiring for an on-site Shopify Product Manager & Developer in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The role is built for someone who can manage a Shopify store from end to end, combining hands-on development, product ownership, and conversion-focused growth work. The position is suited to a professional with 2 to 5 years of experience, ideally in D2C or e-commerce.

What you'll own

You will be responsible for the store's technical foundation, overall performance, and ongoing improvement. The role blends Shopify development with product thinking and optimization efforts aimed at improving how users move through the site and how well the store converts.

Key responsibilities

• Take charge of the Shopify store structure, theme-level changes, and app integrations, including Liquid, Online Store 2.0, metafields, app blocks, and checkout extensibility.
• Review the end-to-end customer journey from landing pages through checkout, identify where users drop off, and remove friction points.
• Lead conversion rate optimization efforts by running A/B tests, refining product detail and collection pages, improving the checkout experience, and driving month-over-month conversion gains.
• Implement and manage engagement and analytics platforms such as CleverTap or similar tools like MoEngage or WebEngage for tracking behavior, segmentation, and automated lifecycle journeys such as cart recovery and win-back campaigns.
• Partner with the marketing team on landing page creation, UTM tracking, and pixel/tag deployment to support performance marketing efforts on Meta and Google Ads.
• Keep an eye on page speed, mobile usability, and the overall technical condition of the website.
• Use operational and logistics data such as RTO and COD trends to guide decisions around product page and checkout design.
• Build and maintain a prioritized roadmap for store enhancements and feature development.
• Work closely with designers, developers, and external vendors or agencies when needed.

Skills and experience needed

• Practical, hands-on experience with Shopify development, including Liquid, Shopify OS 2.0, and theme customization.
• Strong grasp of conversion rate optimization principles and testing frameworks.
• Ability to analyze the customer journey and understand funnel behavior.
• Experience working with CleverTap or comparable customer engagement platforms.
• Working knowledge of performance marketing concepts, enough to collaborate effectively with paid media teams.
• Comfort using GA4, Shopify Analytics, or similar reporting tools.
• Understanding of D2C operational issues such as COD, RTO, NDR, and cart/checkout abandonment.
• Exposure to behavioral analytics tools such as Hotjar or Clarity is a plus.
• Basic familiarity with Meta Pixel and Google Tag Manager setup is beneficial.
• Any prior experience in religious, spiritual, gifting, or lifestyle D2C brands is an added advantage.
