Service Technician

Role overview

Culligan Ireland is hiring a full-time permanent Service Technician to work in the field across County Cork. The position is subject to a six-month probation period. This role is central to delivering Culligan’s water service operations and helping customers benefit from cleaner, healthier water solutions.

The technician will handle the installation, servicing, maintenance, and exchange of water coolers and filtration systems while representing the company professionally at customer sites. The role is based in Cork and requires someone who can work independently, stay organised, and respond well to both planned and reactive service work.

Compensation

The salary for this role is €32,000 per year, paid on a monthly basis. In addition, the role includes an annual tax-free meal allowance of €4,000.

Key duties

• Check equipment on site to ensure it is operating correctly and meeting customer expectations
• Complete site surveys, installations, repairs, servicing, exchanges, and collections at customer locations
• Identify technical faults and put practical solutions in place
• Follow a structured daily route while remaining adaptable for urgent service needs
• Keep van stock, tools, and inventory controlled so daily work can be completed efficiently
• Log service activity accurately using the supplied tablet and digital systems
• Deliver a polite, professional, and customer-focused service at every visit

What the role needs

• A full, valid driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points and no disqualifying offences
• At least 3 years of driving experience
• Experience diagnosing and fixing technical or mechanical problems
• Good knowledge of the local area and nearby regions
• The ability to work on your own and stick to schedules
• Strong people skills and a genuine customer-first approach
