Security Officer

Overview

This position is for a Security Officer in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, with a confidential employer. The role focuses on surveillance, access control, incident response, and coordination with internal teams and emergency services.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep watch over CCTV feeds, alarm panels, and access control equipment to maintain site security.
• Track live surveillance activity and spot anything unusual or suspicious.
• React quickly when alarms are triggered or urgent situations arise.
• Escalate security incidents to the Security Supervisor or Control Room Manager as needed.
• Check visitor identities, issue passes, and maintain accurate logs for visitor and contractor movements.
• Make sure restricted areas are accessed only by personnel with proper authorization.
• Support emergency handling by working with security staff, police, ambulance, or civil defence when required.
• Stay in regular contact with guards, supervisors, and emergency responders to ensure smooth coordination.
• Use radios, telephones, and related communication tools effectively.
• Continuously monitor CCTV systems and preserve footage when it is needed for review or investigation.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of high school or an equivalent qualification.
• Between 4 and 6 years of hands-on experience in security operations or CCTV monitoring.
