S&C GN - Tech Strategy & Advisory - Data Strategy - Manager

About the role

This position sits within Accenture’s Technology Strategy & Advisory group, focused on supporting highly strategic clients as they unlock business value through technology-led change. The role is based at manager level and can be located in Bangalore, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad, or Kolkata.

What you will do

• Guide and contribute to technology-focused transaction advisory work, including carve-outs, separations, mergers, and integrations.
• Support M&A activities across areas such as IT infrastructure, software, cybersecurity, cloud, SaaS, AI, and other emerging technologies.
• Lead or assist IT due diligence efforts by assessing financial, operational, technology, and legal dimensions of potential acquisition targets.
• Evaluate client technology environments and interpret broader industry, economic, technological, and social trends that shape strategy.
• Develop practical roadmaps for digital, IT, or cloud implementation using a data-driven approach.
• Track strategy execution, manage change, monitor progress, and recommend corrective actions where needed.
• Prepare financial proposals, forecasts, and budgeting inputs to support strategic decisions.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders by contributing thought leadership and insights on market trends and value drivers.
• Create high-quality executive content and deliver clear presentations for C-level discussions.

What we are looking for

• A postgraduate management degree from a top-tier institution.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in M&A advisory, strategy consulting, or investment banking.
• Background in technology M&A advisory, separation planning and execution, integration planning and execution, or IT due diligence.
• Exposure to at least two of the following areas: tech strategy, technology operating models, IT shared services strategy, cloud transformation, industry and new technology, technology ROI or cost take-out, modern architecture, or data-driven enterprise.
• At least 3 years of experience in financial modelling, valuation, scenario analysis, and business case development for strategic, process improvement, or IT transformation initiatives.
• At least 2 years of experience leading large teams, structuring analytical work, running workshops, and shaping technology strategy recommendations.
• Working knowledge of enterprise architecture and technology trends such as mobility, cloud, digital, and collaboration.
• Preferred domain understanding in sectors such as financial services, retail, consumer goods, telecommunications, life sciences, transportation, hospitality, automotive/industrial, mining, or resources.
• Exposure to frameworks such as TOGAF or DODAF is preferred, though not mandatory.

The practice is part of Technology Strategy & Advisory and covers tech M&A, digital, cloud, and IT strategy. The team works on clients’ most strategic priorities and aims to help them improve growth and efficiency through innovative transformation approaches and agile methods. This role calls for strong communication, advanced presentation skills, public speaking ability, content creation, and the confidence to engage in senior leadership conversations.

Experience required

This role requires 10 to 15 years of overall experience.

Education requirement

B.Tech / B.E. in any specialization is listed as the basic eligibility, along with an MBA from a tier 1 institute.
