Role Overview

This role calls for a Salesforce specialist who can engineer and develop solutions that are scalable, reliable, and aligned to business and customer needs. Working within ASB’s Engineering Practice, you will help design, build, and deliver outcomes in an autonomous and agile environment while strengthening your own technical capability and helping improve customer results.

You will be expected to take ownership of high-quality Salesforce technical delivery and contribute to engineering excellence across the platform. Clear communication and stakeholder engagement are central to the role, especially when joining solution design conversations and helping ensure successful delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Shape and deliver Salesforce solutions that meet business and customer requirements.
• Work through the full delivery lifecycle from design through implementation.
• Translate business needs into technical designs, functional solutions, and data models.
• Develop Salesforce functionality using Apex and Lightning Web Components.
• Create and support integrations between Salesforce and external platforms using REST/SOAP APIs and platform events.
• Apply secure coding practices, resilient error handling, trigger patterns, and strong design principles.
• Contribute to design workshops, solution documentation, and technical discussions with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and delivery teams in Agile ways of working.
• Support and enhance large enterprise applications while sharing knowledge to build team capability.

What You’ll Bring

• At least 5 years of experience working in Salesforce environments.
• Hands-on ability to configure, design, and develop Salesforce solutions using programmatic tools.
• Solid experience building integrations and working with connected systems.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end software delivery and Agile delivery practices.
• Ability to convert business requirements into scalable technical outcomes.
• Experience with solution design, technical documentation, and collaborative decision-making.
• Confident communication skills for engaging with business and technical stakeholders.
• A positive, team-oriented mindset and willingness to share knowledge.

Location: ASB C:Drive, Albany, Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.
