About the Property
Mantra Midtown is located in the centre of Brisbane, close to Eagle Street’s financial and business district, nearby universities, and the convention and exhibition precincts. The property offers self-contained studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments, creating a stay that suits a wide range of guests. On your time away from work, you can explore waterfalls, enjoy dining and rooftop venues, or take in art, theatre, and other local experiences.
Role Purpose
As a Room Attendant, you are an important part of the Housekeeping team and help create a strong first impression by keeping guest rooms spotless and carefully maintained. In this role, you also work closely with team members and assist guests when needed. Your contribution helps ensure every stay feels comfortable, memorable, and welcoming.
Key Duties
- Clean guest rooms from top to bottom, including making beds, refreshing bathrooms, and wiping surfaces to maintain a polished presentation.
- Follow the property’s housekeeping standards and procedures consistently to deliver the expected level of quality.
- Keep housekeeping carts tidy, stocked, and ready for use throughout the shift.
- Handle cleaning products responsibly and follow all safety requirements while working.
- Protect guest privacy and support a secure, respectful environment.
- Escalate maintenance concerns quickly to help maintain a seamless guest experience.
Experience and Skills
Having prior experience in cleaning or a room attendant role is beneficial. You should communicate in a friendly, approachable manner so both guests and colleagues feel comfortable. The job calls for strong attention to detail, efficient work habits, good time management, and pride in delivering quality results. It is a physically active role and may involve moving between rooms via internal and external stairways and open walkways. Teamwork across diverse groups is essential. You must also have dependable transport and be available for rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
