Role overview
Seed Heritage is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the leadership of its Ponsonby Concept Store in Auckland. This role is focused on helping build an engaged, high-performing retail team while delivering a polished customer experience through strong product knowledge, a refined sales approach, and lasting customer relationships.
What you will do
- Help create a customer-first store culture where each interaction feels smooth, thoughtful, and memorable.
- Partner with the Store Manager to develop, coach, and empower the team through training, mentoring, and close collaboration.
- Work alongside store leadership to contribute to a productive and commercially successful store environment.
- Encourage the team to achieve sales goals and broader business performance measures.
- Assist with operational standards, roster planning, and back-of-house administrative tasks.

- Background in a similar supervisory or leadership role within a fast-moving, high-volume fashion retail setting.
- Proven ability to guide, support, and inspire a team toward strong performance.
- Commercial awareness with the capability to manage sales, wages, and shrinkage targets within budget expectations.

- Experience handling large stock volumes and stock control processes.
