Research Scientist

Role overview

The Research Scientist will support research and development efforts by applying advanced scientific knowledge to solve complex technical challenges. This position involves planning and carrying out experiments, studying the results, and helping convert research outcomes into practical products, processes, or technologies. The role also requires close coordination with cross-functional teams to move ideas from lab-scale findings to scalable implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and carry out experiments, simulations, or studies that match project goals.
• Review experimental outcomes, interpret the data, and turn findings into clear conclusions and recommendations.
• Study relevant scientific literature and track new technologies to guide the research path.
• Work on improving processes, materials, or formulations where needed.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and technical documents to record research progress and results.
• Partner with teams across functions to convert research outputs into usable applications.
• Spot technical issues during experimentation and work through troubleshooting steps.
• Keep research records organized, accurate, and complete.
• Help with scale-up, testing, and implementation of developed solutions.
• Contribute fresh ideas for innovation and help assess their potential.
• Follow all safety, quality, and compliance requirements during research work.
• Use analytical tools, software, and laboratory instruments effectively.
• Share findings with internal stakeholders and take part in technical discussions and reviews.
• Remain current on developments in the relevant scientific area.
• Continuously improve research methods, workflows, and practices.

Education and experience

A PhD in Engineering or Science is required, preferably in Chemical, Polymer, Materials, Mechanical, Biotechnology, or a similar discipline. The role calls for 0 to 3 years of experience, including doctoral research. Prior hands-on exposure to experimental research, data analysis, and technical problem-solving is expected. Publications, patents, or thesis work in the relevant area are preferred.
