Role overview
This position is with the Queensland Government in Charleville, Queensland. It includes access to a subsidised three-bedroom departmental residence. The role sits within Queensland’s parks and forests network, where rangers help protect, maintain, and make national parks, state forests, and reserves available for all Queenslanders.
What the job involves
The main emphasis of this role is to guide a ranger team responsible for the day-to-day care of parks and forests in the Carnarvon North area. Alongside general ranger duties, the successful person will place priority on coordinating routine management work and delivering strategic projects.
Experience in bushfire response, planned burns, natural resource management, visitor management, and work in remote settings is strongly preferred. The role also requires proven ability in team leadership and operational coordination.
