Role overview

Revolution Rail Co. is looking for upbeat, energetic people to join the team as Railbike Guides in South Fork, Colorado. This role suits someone who enjoys working with guests, spending time outdoors, and helping create memorable adventure experiences. The guide will partner with management to lead rail bike tours, support the customer journey, and occasionally help produce social media content.

Experience in hospitality or outdoor activities is helpful, but it is not the most important factor. What you'll do

• Support day-to-day station activity, including guest check-in, answering calls and emails, and taking reservations by phone or in person.
• Welcome walk-in visitors, respond to questions, and give an overview of the rail bike tour experience.
• Help run the gift shop by handling cash and card payments, replenishing stock, and keeping the area tidy and organized.
• Carry out daily and weekly upkeep tasks to keep the station clean, appealing, and ready for guests.
• Coordinate with other guides on customer flow and station activity.
• Help deliver an enjoyable and memorable guest experience.
• Lead groups on rail bike tours.
• Build knowledge of the company’s excursions, customer experience standards, and environmental awareness.
• Prioritize the safety and well-being of all participants.
• Deliver safety instructions and historical commentary, with training provided.
• Perform small rail bike repairs and adjustments, with training provided.
• Provide first aid and emergency support when necessary, with training provided.
• Take on additional duties assigned by management.

What we're looking for

• Good physical fitness, including the ability to team-lift two-seat and four-seat rail bikes weighing 180-220 lbs with assistance and pedal a rail bike for 2-hour stretches, 3-4 times per shift.
• A genuine interest in nature and outdoor work.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Consistently professional and friendly customer service.
• A positive, can-do attitude.
• A steady work ethic and a team-oriented mindset.
• Basic computer skills.
• Comfort working in changing weather conditions.
• Confidence speaking to medium and large groups.
• Ability to stay effective in a busy, fast-moving environment.
• A valid driver's license is preferred.

Additional information

Training will be provided for safety briefings, historical talks, minor bike repairs and adjustments, and first aid or emergency response tasks.

The role also includes occasional support for social media content.
