Role overview

The Faculty of Science & Technology at Vishwakarma University is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee academic and administrative quality assurance activities. The position is intended to strengthen alignment with institutional expectations as well as relevant national and international benchmarks.

What you will do

In this role, you will create, roll out, and track quality assurance systems, policies, and standard operating procedures across academic programs and departments. You will coordinate internal and external audits, maintain accreditation and compliance records, support curriculum review, and contribute to outcome-based education efforts.

You will also gather and evaluate data related to academic results, stakeholder input, and overall institutional performance. Based on your analysis, you will prepare reports for leadership and help drive ongoing improvements in teaching, learning, and assessment.

Another key part of the job is working closely with faculty members, administrative staff, and external stakeholders to promote a strong quality culture through training, guidance, and sharing of good practices.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of academic quality assurance, accreditation procedures, and outcome-based education, preferably in higher education and especially within science and technology environments. Experience in designing, applying, and reviewing quality frameworks, policies, SOPs, and institutional effectiveness measures is expected.

You should be comfortable working with both quantitative and qualitative data, turning findings into practical improvements, and communicating clearly in writing and verbally through reports, manuals, and presentations. The role also calls for strong project management skills, the ability to coordinate across teams, and a disciplined approach to deadlines and detail.

Familiarity with regulatory requirements and accreditation agencies related to higher education is highly valued. A Master’s degree or higher in Quality Management, Education, Engineering, Science, or a related field is required by the source, and quality or audit certifications are considered an added advantage.

The position also expects strong interpersonal skills, a cooperative working style, and a commitment to ethical conduct, inclusion, and continuous improvement. Prior experience in a university setting is mentioned as desirable.
