Role Overview
OSG Containers and Modular Pte Ltd is seeking a QS cum Draftperson to support tendering, project coordination, drafting, costing, and site-related follow-up for job orders and completed works. The position involves working closely with internal teams, clients, consultants, and vendors to ensure drawings, materials, production, and installations are aligned with requirements, budgets, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop work schedules, prepare and update drawings, and ensure revisions are completed promptly for tender submissions and job orders.
- Work with the team to recommend design approaches and suitable materials that fit the budget and client needs, while sourcing the required dimensions and specifications from the site and suppliers.
- Coordinate instructions and progress with the sales team, production team, and clients for job order details, design specifications, work acceptance, issue resolution, and project handover.
- Prepare bills of quantities for job orders in a cost-conscious manner and manage quantity take-offs, including materials and manpower hours, for cost planning and estimates.
- Liaise with consultants and vendors to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, practices, and any updates or changes.
- Handle customer enquiries and carry out site surveys to assess conditions, installation needs, delivery requirements, and setup methods when needed.
- Carry out quality checks so that finished products match the approved drawings and job order requirements.
- Support efficient and safe production practices, maintain orderly file and drawing records, and ensure documents are kept securely.
- Assist the production, procurement, and logistics teams as required.
- Prepare project reports for the Project Manager and customers, and help keep the workplace clean, organised, and safe.
- Take on other related assignments and ad-hoc duties as needed.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in construction, building, project management, or manufacturing.
- Hands-on proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and both 2D and 3D drawing work.
- Strong organisational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work well in a team.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Diploma or NTC 3, or an equivalent qualification, in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.
Additional Information
This is a full-time, onsite role based in Central Singapore Community Development Council, Singapore. The position involves coordination across sales, production, clients, consultants, vendors, procurement, and logistics, with responsibilities spanning drafting, quantity surveying, cost estimation, site checks, quality control, reporting, and general project support.
