Role Overview
An opportunity is available for an experienced Project Manager to lead major component replacement campaigns within the offshore wind sector. The position is centered on delivering complex offshore operations across a large asset portfolio, with a focus on heavy-lift vessel work, operational excellence, safety, and performance improvement.
Location and Working Style
This role is based across London, Swindon, and Northern Europe, with a hybrid setup that includes offshore travel.
Contract Details
The assignment is offered at £800 per day on a contract basis for 6 months, with a possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee readiness and execution planning for major component replacement programmes on wind turbine generators above 5MW.
- Manage offshore marine activity, including campaigns involving jack-up vessels.
- Create and refine logistics approaches across a portfolio of assets.
- Handle scheduling, operational sequencing, and campaign delivery.
- Serve as the main point of contact between technical, engineering, and marine stakeholders.
- Assist with vessel sourcing, tender exercises, and commercial negotiations.
- Make sure marine equipment, tooling, and service resources are available when needed.
- Track campaign outcomes and focus on reducing cost and downtime.
- Work closely with engineering, supply chain, HSSE, and site teams to align delivery.
- Provide concise updates and reporting for senior leadership.
Requirements
- Demonstrated background in project management within offshore wind.
- Solid knowledge of WTG technology and major component replacement activities.
- Familiarity with heavy-lift and jack-up vessel operations.
- Engineering experience or qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Offshore, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience delivering complex projects.
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
- Comfortable collaborating across multiple functions and disciplines.
- Prepared to travel throughout Europe and spend time offshore.
- GWO certification is preferred.
- Practical offshore experience is an advantage.
