About the Opportunity

Join a respected South Island organisation at an exciting stage of technology improvement and change. The business is looking for a Project Manager who can turn early-stage ideas into delivered solutions that are live, adopted, and delivering value.

This is a compact, collaborative team where trust is high, people work closely with operations, and delivery is highly visible. The environment suits someone who enjoys being actively involved in the business and prefers practical momentum over staying behind the scenes on project administration.

The position covers full project delivery, but it also includes a strong business analysis and scoping element. You will facilitate workshops, document processes, clarify needs, and help define solutions before implementation begins. After that, you will continue to own the work through planning, governance, risk and issue management, vendor liaison, and change activities to ensure results are embedded.

The role is based in Queenstown, with an office in Wanaka and operational locations across the South Island and Great Lakes region. A minimum of three days per week on site or in office is expected, with flexibility across Queenstown, Wanaka, and operational sites, because stakeholder presence is central to delivery.

What You’ll Bring

You should have a solid track record of managing projects from beginning to end, with the ability to bring structure to uncertain situations. That includes creating plans, coordinating stakeholders, managing budgets and milestones, and maintaining a clear handle on risks and issues.

Just as important is your capability in early-stage scoping. You will need to run discussions, ask probing questions, capture requirements, document current and future state processes, and translate business needs into clear material that technology teams and external partners can use.

This role suits someone energetic, self-driven, and willing to get into the detail when needed. Formal project qualifications or delivery methods such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile are useful, and experience with Jira, MS Project, Trello, and process mapping tools such as Visio would be an advantage. However, your ability to lead, influence, and deliver outcomes will carry the most weight.

What’s on Offer

This role offers varied work and real impact, from system evaluation and selection through to implementation and business change. You will work in a culture that values initiative, teamwork, and delivery, with the opportunity to build credibility quickly through practical results.
