About the Role
Boston Scientific is looking for a Project Manager I to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of divisional initiatives. In this role, you will work with teams across the business to build and maintain schedules, manage resources, monitor deliverables, and keep project work moving in line with agreed timelines and goals.
This position is centered on execution, communication, and day-to-day operational coordination across several functions to help ensure projects are delivered successfully. Boston Scientific was named a Glassdoor Best Place to Work in 2026, placing No. 15 on the Top 100 list.
This is a defined-term role expected to end by mid-2028.
Work Model and Location
This role follows a hybrid arrangement and may be based at any Boston Scientific location in the United States, Costa Rica, or Ireland. Team members are expected to work from their local office at least three days each week.
Relocation support is not available, and the company will not provide or transfer work visa sponsorship for this position at this time.
Responsibilities
- Create, update, and monitor detailed project plans, milestones, and deliverables using project management tools.
- Work with cross-functional partners in areas such as Research and Development, Marketing, Clinical, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Operations.
- Watch project progress for timeline risks, capacity issues, and possible delays, and raise concerns when needed.
- Contribute to project planning through timeline development, resource planning, and documentation support.
- Run project meetings, capture action items, and follow up to keep assigned tasks on track.
- Gather inputs from stakeholders and team members to keep schedules and status information accurate.
- Track dependencies, deliverables, and metrics to ensure work stays aligned with project goals.
- Support resource management by monitoring team workload, assignments, and capacity across multiple efforts.
- Prepare and share status updates for stakeholders and leadership.
- Maintain project records and follow established business and quality procedures.
- Take on additional assignments and special projects as needed.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in project coordination, project management, or a similar area.
- Background supporting cross-functional teams and managing schedules and deliverables.
- Proven ability to stay organized, balance competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Strong capability in planning, problem-solving, and communication.
- Hands-on proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Strong organizational ability to manage several projects, priorities, and timelines at once.
- Experience using scheduling and project tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or comparable platforms.
- Experience building and maintaining schedules, tracking milestones, and measuring project performance.
- Solid understanding of project management methods, principles, and best practices.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills across functions.
- Ability to recognize risks, address issues, and follow up proactively on action items.
- High attention to detail and the ability to keep project documentation accurate.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in the medical device sector or another regulated environment.
- Exposure to regulated product development processes.
- Experience supporting product development or commercialization initiatives.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management training.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and build alignment across teams.
Compensation
The expected base salary range for this position is $106,800 to $202,900 per year. Actual pay will depend on location, experience, education, certifications, and other relevant business factors. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at the very bottom or top of the range.
As an exempt, non-sales position, this role may also be eligible for variable compensation such as an annual bonus target and long-term incentives, subject to plan terms and eligibility.
