Procurement Executive

Role overview

This position focuses on procurement for marine and topside equipment, along with coordination across purchasing, suppliers, project teams, and warehouse operations. The role supports end-to-end sourcing and order management to make sure materials arrive on time, meet project requirements, and stay within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Assess marine and topside equipment requirements before purchase.
• Handle supplier discussions and price/terms negotiations.
• Check purchase requisitions and purchase orders against project timelines and specifications.
• Work closely with project teams and external vendors to ensure equipment, parts, and materials align with required standards and budgets.
• Manage the complete buying cycle, including sourcing, requesting quotations, negotiating, shipping, and delivery coordination.
• Prepare and process purchase orders in line with company rules and procedures.
• Track orders closely and follow up with suppliers to avoid delays.
• Recommend suitable vendors and review supplier performance.
• Oversee warehouse-related activities so operations remain orderly and controlled.
• Investigate and resolve any mismatch or issue found when equipment and materials are received.
• Maintain accurate records, forms, and reports for receiving, storage, movement, and inventory control of equipment and materials.
• Guide and supervise warehouse staff so work is completed according to plans and schedules.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Process, Marine Offshore, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
• About 5 years of relevant work experience is expected.
• Knowledge of topside equipment will be an advantage.
• Applicants at entry level may also be considered, with on-the-job training available.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability are important.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are needed.
• The role requires the ability to juggle multiple tasks and remain effective in a busy, fast-moving environment.
• Experience managing contracts for equipment, particularly topside equipment, is a plus.

Work location and schedule

The role is based onsite in Singapore, with work locations at Seatrium (SG) Pte. Ltd., Tuas Boulevard Yard, 80 Tuas South Boulevard, Singapore 637051, and Tuas Yard, Pioneer Sector 1, Singapore 628437. Islandwide transport is provided for both sites.

Working hours are Monday to Thursday from 8:00am to 5:15pm, and Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
