Role overview

TRC is looking for local candidates in Pennsylvania to step into an immediate Precast Concrete Inspector position. The assignment typically lasts several weeks or longer and involves inspecting precast or prestressed concrete plants that manufacture transportation-related structural products for DOT-approved suppliers.

Key responsibilities

The inspector will be expected to review concrete construction work, verify compliance, and support documentation and reporting for project needs. The role also includes regular movement between office, plant, outdoor, and laboratory environments, along with travel tied to assignment location and sample delivery.

Qualifications and technical needs

Candidates should bring solid experience in concrete construction, along with hands-on exposure to precast or prestressed work. The position requires the ability to read technical drawings, use computers for reporting, and communicate professionally in English.

Additional requirements

Applicants must be comfortable using a smartphone, lifting up to 40 pounds, and working daily in a mix of office, plant, and outdoor settings. The job also requires one weekly trip to a DOT lab for sample delivery, with travel time not exceeding 4 hours.
