We are seeking a dedicated Postperson with Driving capabilities to become a vital part of our team in Market Harborough. This is a permanent, full-time position where you will be responsible for delivering mail and parcels to your local community, ensuring a reliable service regardless of the weather. This role is physically demanding but rewarding, keeping you fit while making a tangible difference to the people you serve.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mail and parcels to residential and business addresses within a designated route.
• Operate a Royal Mail vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service to the community.
• Manage delivery schedules and routes effectively.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Contribute to the operational demands, including weekend work as required.

Requirements

• Possession of a full UK manual driving licence with a maximum of 6 penalty points.
• Ability to walk for extended periods.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Organized, punctual, and capable of delivering excellent customer service.
• A friendly demeanor and a strong sense of community.
• Independent and self-motivated with an upbeat attitude.
• Must be able to work 5 days a week, including weekends, between 14:00 and 21:00.

Additional Information

This is a permanent contract for 35 hours per week. Working hours are between 14:00 and 21:00, Monday to Sunday, with weekend operational demand required at Leicester MPU. Roles offering 35-37 hours per week are classified as full-time for search purposes but may be considered part-time in the employment contract if under 37 hours.
