Role overview
This is a remote, hourly contractor position for a Polish Quality Assurance Lead. The role focuses on safeguarding the quality, consistency, and performance of trainers across Polish AI training projects. You will evaluate AI-generated Polish content as well as trainer and QA outputs, check them against project rules, and share detailed written feedback to keep the work aligned with required standards.
You will review submissions for accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, cultural fit, meaning retention, instruction compliance, formatting, and project-specific scoring rubrics. The role also includes identifying repeated quality issues, keeping trainers and QAs informed of updates, supporting onboarding, maintaining documentation, and helping re-engage contributors who are not active consistently.
The company is a fast-growing AI data services provider that supplies training data to some of the world's leading AI companies and foundation model labs. In this role, your Polish quality leadership will help improve AI models by ensuring that Polish training data is natural, correct, culturally appropriate, well documented, and aligned with client expectations.
There is no active project assigned at the moment. However, if you are a strong fit, you will be among the first professionals contacted when suitable work becomes available, and you may also gain access to future projects through the expert network.
Responsibilities
- Review Polish-language items regularly, catch quality issues, provide feedback in direct messages, and escalate repeated or serious problems.
- Keep trainers and QAs updated on Discord regarding new guidelines, project changes, workflow adjustments, and quality expectations.
- Answer questions from trainers and QAs promptly and clearly, especially on wording, grammar, register, translation accuracy, cultural nuance, terminology, and difficult edge cases.
- Reach out to inactive contributors, encourage them to resume work, monitor follow-ups, and raise availability concerns when necessary.
- Build and maintain documentation for Polish projects, such as style guides, trackers, FAQs, quality notes, examples, honeypots, and onboarding resources.
- Organize and deliver onboarding and training sessions to explain project goals, workflows, rubrics, quality benchmarks, and Polish-specific style rules.
- Ensure trainers and QAs apply language standards consistently and stay aligned as project requirements change.
- Spot recurring quality gaps, suggest process improvements, and help create scalable QA systems for Polish-language work.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Polish, linguistics, translation, communications, journalism, English, education, quality assurance, or a related discipline.
- Native or near-native command of Polish, with strong reading and writing ability.
- Strong English skills to understand project instructions, coordinate with teams, and provide clear feedback in English.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in Polish writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, education, annotation, or similar language-review work.
- Strong knowledge of Polish grammar, spelling, punctuation, tone, register, declension, gender agreement, word order, and cultural context.
- Ability to judge Polish content against detailed rubrics and detect mistranslations, awkward phrasing, unnatural tone, incorrect case usage, hallucinated claims, ambiguity, and inconsistent terminology.
- Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs is strongly preferred.
- Comfort working in fast-paced remote environments with tools such as Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management platforms.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain style guides, FAQs, trackers, onboarding documents, honeypots, and other QA materials.
- Experience with AI training, data annotation, large language models, prompt and response review, or rubric-based LLM QA is a strong advantage.
