Role Overview
An established semi-state organisation in Dublin City Centre is looking for a Payroll Supervisor to join its Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this position carries responsibility for payroll administration as well as travel and subsistence processing, while also leading a team of two. The role offers the chance to join a growing organisation with a positive workplace culture.
Location and Working Arrangement
This position is based in Dublin City Centre and follows a hybrid model after training.
Compensation
The salary range is €66,166 to €88,038, depending on experience, along with a strong benefits package.
Role Responsibilities
- Take charge of the full payroll workflow from start to finish, making sure every stage is reviewed, completed, and processed accurately.
- Own the fortnightly payroll cycle and ensure it runs smoothly.
- Complete and file annual statutory returns, compliance submissions, and payroll-related reports.
- Handle payroll questions from both internal teams and external contacts.
- Manage the processing and payment of travel and subsistence claims so approved expenses are reimbursed promptly.
- Submit payroll information in accordance with Real Time Reporting (RTR) rules.
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and other ad hoc payroll and expense reports as needed.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and year-end activities, including payroll analysis and review of cost trends.
- Carry out additional duties as required.
Required Experience and Skills
- At least 10 years of payroll operations experience gained in a medium to large or complex organisation, including supervisory exposure.
- Practical knowledge of payroll and HR systems; CoreHR experience would be a strong advantage.
- IPASS qualification or an equivalent credential.
- Strong organisational ability and a sharp eye for detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal ability.
- Self-driven approach with the capability to encourage and support others.
