Role overview
Chevron is hiring Operations Technician Trainees to join its Singapore operations at Jurong Island. Applications are accepted online until 19 July 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Singapore Time.

What you will do
- Complete the new-hire training pathway and work toward qualification as an Operations Technician.
- Support safe and dependable plant operations across equipment such as reactors, filters, heaters, boilers, incinerators, tanks, pumps, the pipeline network, and jetty facilities.
- Carry out structured rotating duties in the operating unit, including monitoring and controlling processes and parameters from the DCS console, as well as field-based maintenance and project support work.
- Keep plant equipment and operations running safely and within approved operating limits.
- Investigate issues, apply corrective actions, and coordinate with technical and maintenance teams to resolve operational problems.
- Take part in unit start-up, shutdown, and turnaround activities both in the field and at the DCS console.
- Prepare Lock Out Tag Out documentation and carry out field execution for equipment or system repair and maintenance.
- Perform first-line maintenance for operations-led tasks that fall within operational control.
- Maintain and update operating procedures to support safe plant operation.
- Serve in Emergency Response Team duties when required during plant emergencies and drills.
Required qualifications
- Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Science; NITEC; or O Levels.
- Strong dedication to operational excellence and compliance with safety requirements.
- Ability to work on your own as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Readiness to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
- Willingness to work on Jurong Island.
Relocation and employment notes
- Relocation support will not be provided under Chevron’s existing policy parameters.
- The selected candidate will be employed in Singapore under the local payroll system and benefits structure.
