Operational Technology Security Technical Program Manager

About the role

This position sits within Google’s data center central operations and focuses on strengthening information security for industrial equipment and facility assets across the Asia/Pacific region. As a Technical Program Manager, you will lead complex, cross-disciplinary initiatives that improve site security processes, support continuous improvement, and help protect critical operational technology environments such as PLCs, electrical switchgear, and other heavy mechanical systems.

The role works closely with global engineering teams and regional execution teams to drive security programs across the data center fleet. You will collaborate with stakeholders across Global Server Operations, Supply Chain and Procurement, Data Center Operations, Advanced Technology and Innovation, DC Engineering, and other technical teams to implement innovative security practices and address weaknesses proactively.

Priority will be given to candidates who already have the right to work in Singapore and do not require visa sponsorship from Google.

Responsibilities

• Lead information security programs for industrial equipment and facility assets across the Asia/Pacific region.
• Own one or more global operational technology security workstreams and coordinate with cross-functional partners to define, track, and improve security posture.
• Shape and execute program plans, long-term strategy, cross-site rollout, and resource prioritization for security initiatives across Google’s data center fleet.
• Use control-system knowledge to guide decisions and influence stakeholders in DC Central Operations, DC Software, and site-level teams.
• Build and improve business processes with cross-functional partners to strengthen data center security and remediate vulnerabilities before they become larger issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent hands-on practical experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in program management.
• At least 5 years of experience leading cross-functional or cross-team initiatives.
• Background in information security incidents and threat evaluation, including incident response, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments.
• Ability to work with SQL, dashboards, and advanced analytics or statistical analysis.
• Comfort operating in a technical, fast-changing environment with an agile and adaptable mindset.
• Strong ability to collaborate across global, multicultural, and organizational boundaries in a fast-paced setting.
