Position Summary

This position is focused on independently stocking and presenting merchandise so the store remains financially effective and customer-ready. The associate is also expected to follow company standards for guest experience, safety, and food safety.

Key Duties

• Support the receiving process by unloading, sorting, and stacking products in the back room.
• Stock, rotate, fill, and present shelves, cases, and displays on the sales floor.
• Alert management when product or supply orders are needed.
• Maintain working knowledge of store merchandise and where items are located.
• Manage damaged or spoiled items according to company procedure.
• Keep departments clean, organized, appealing, and fully stocked.
• Observe required personal protective equipment and workplace safety rules.
• Follow all food safety and cleaning procedures.
• Deliver service in line with guest experience standards.
• Take on work in other departments when customer needs require it.
• Complete other related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Candidates should be able to read, write, understand, and interpret documents, and use basic math in day-to-day work. A sharp eye for detail is important. Prior retail or similar experience is preferred, and a high school diploma or GED is preferred as well.

Physical Requirements

This role can involve frequent lifting and moving of up to 30 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. The associate should be able to stand and walk for long periods and frequently bend, stoop, twist, and turn. Work is performed in a typical retail environment with changing temperatures and some exposure to outdoor weather. The noise level is generally low to moderate. Travel needs depend on assignment.
