Role Summary

This full-time, on-site position in Bhubaneswar involves running commercial laundry and dry-cleaning equipment at the company facility. The Machine Operator will manage washers, dryers, pressing units, and connected systems while following safety rules and operating procedures. The job includes handling laundry loads, choosing the correct machine settings, checking output quality, keeping the work area organized, and assisting with routine upkeep and workflow support.

Key Duties

• Operate industrial laundry and dry-cleaning machines in line with approved safety and process standards.
• Load and unload garments, linens, and other items as part of the daily production cycle.
• Select suitable machine programs and keep an eye on machine performance during operation.
• Make basic adjustments where needed and carry out routine cleaning of equipment and the work area.
• Inspect items before and after processing to ensure quality and compliance with client expectations.
• Identify and report machine issues, output defects, or process concerns to the supervisor.
• Work closely with teammates to keep production flowing and help achieve daily targets.
• Follow hygiene practices consistently and support preventive maintenance activities under guidance.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant should have the ability to handle industrial machines, understand basic laundry and dry-cleaning machinery, and pay close attention to quality and safety. Good communication, technical awareness, and a hands-on approach are important for this role. Experience in laundry, textiles, manufacturing, or hospitality support can be helpful, but it is not mandatory. Training will be provided to the right candidate.

Requirements

• Comfort operating and monitoring industrial machines used in laundry and dry-cleaning work.
• Knowledge of quality inspection for cleanliness, damage, and client-specific standards.
• Ability to use hand tools for minor adjustments, simple maintenance, and safe equipment handling.
• Clear verbal and written communication for updates, instructions, and issue reporting.
• Basic technical understanding, strong attention to detail, and consistent adherence to safety and hygiene rules.
• Willingness to work in shifts, remain on your feet for long periods, and handle moderate lifting and movement of laundry loads.
• Previous exposure to laundry, textile, manufacturing, or hospitality-related environments is an added advantage.
• High school completion or an equivalent qualification is preferred.

Training and Work Conditions

Suitable candidates will receive on-the-job training. The role is based at the Bhubaneswar facility and requires in-person attendance. Shift work is expected, along with physical activity such as standing for extended periods and moving laundry items as part of daily operations.
