Logistics Specialist

Role overview

This is a 1-year contract opportunity for a Logistics Specialist based in Dubai, UAE. The role focuses on coordinating international movement of assets, products, and materials while supporting project supply and material workflow activities.

Key responsibilities

You will plan and coordinate shipments, allocate third-party logistics resources, and work closely with domestic planning counterparts to manage movements to and from country port entry and exit points. The role also includes ensuring shipments are routed efficiently, using preferred contracted carriers where required, and securing delivery in line with service expectations.

Additional duties include tracking shipment progress, monitoring performance, identifying deviations, sharing schedule updates with planners, and implementing corrective actions when risks or delays appear. You will also serve as the main contact for international logistics movements within the Geounit or Support Center, maintain compliance with transport regulations, and support communication between import/export teams and other stakeholders.

The position requires handling logistics transactions with suppliers, capturing milestone and cost information in business systems, participating in performance reviews, and following up on deviations, deficiencies, and warranty claims through the appropriate reporting and quality management processes.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have 5 years of experience in logistics, planning, or project execution. Background in production facility or EPCC projects is required, along with exposure to project planning or project execution procedures. Prior involvement in import/export operations, including related approvals and permits, is also expected.
