About the Role
Trial Lawyers United LLC is hiring a Litigation Paralegal to help drive active mass tort cases from pre-suit work through trial preparation. This is a fully remote opportunity for someone who is highly organized, comfortable handling a large caseload, and able to work with limited day-to-day oversight in a fast-moving litigation setting.
What You’ll Do
- Support attorneys through every stage of litigation, from early investigation to discovery, motions, and trial prep
- Handle a large volume of mass tort case files efficiently
- Prepare and organize pleadings, discovery replies, subpoenas, and attorney/client correspondence
- Examine, condense, and arrange medical records and other detailed case materials
- Monitor deadlines and keep litigation calendars current to stay aligned with court requirements
- Assist with filing activity in state and federal courts, including electronic filing
- Help with client intake, document gathering, and ongoing communication with clients
- Keep electronic case files accurate, complete, and easy to navigate
- Work effectively with case management and document management platforms
- Stay in regular contact with attorneys, co-counsel, clients, experts, and vendors
Required Experience and Skills
- At least 2 to 4 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with mass tort work strongly preferred
- Clear understanding of civil litigation processes, rules, and timing requirements
- Hands-on experience reviewing and summarizing medical records
- Working knowledge of legal research tools and case management software
- Strong organization, prioritization, and multitasking ability
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote setup
Preferred Background
- Exposure to large-scale or complex litigation matters
- Experience with multidistrict litigation or coordinated cases
- Prior remote work experience in a law firm environment
- Familiarity with federal and state electronic filing systems
- Background in settlement administration and lien resolution
