Join a production team where you will help keep operations safe, efficient, and consistent, with a strong focus on food safety, site safety, and the wellbeing of colleagues.

What the role involves

In this position, you will be accountable for the raw materials, labour, equipment, and maintenance needs of your assigned area. You will connect different teams, draw on your knowledge of production and packing, and help push shared objectives and improvement projects ahead.

Working pattern and pay

This is a night-shift role working Sunday to Thursday from 21:00 to 05:00. The pay rate is £14.78 per hour.

Key duties

• Serve as a reliable point of contact for the Line Manager on matters relating to production and packing.
• Work closely with teams across the site and with HSE colleagues to support production targets and site objectives.
• Lead by example on safe working practices and promptly raise or help resolve issues related to safety, health, and the environment.
• Support and train team members, including new starters, on hygiene, health, and safety procedures.
• Promote strong housekeeping habits and good manufacturing standards within your area.
• Make sure machinery hygiene inspections are carried out according to company procedures and defects are reported without delay.
• Take part in audits connected to health, safety, and environmental compliance.

What the employer is looking for

The ideal candidate will have a Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification, or something equivalent. You should be highly detail-oriented, confident in completing paperwork accurately, and able to show a consistent record of delivering results while setting a high standard for others. The role also requires someone who works well with colleagues across different teams to achieve common goals.
