Role overview
3PAI is looking for a Junior Solution Architect to help design and deliver practical AI systems built on AWS. This position sits between strategy and implementation: you’ll work on turning business challenges into scalable architectures and then help bring those ideas to life through working prototypes.
The role is based in Wellington or Auckland and follows a full-time hybrid working model. Rather than focusing on presentations alone, the team is building real agentic AI solutions and expects a hands-on contributor who can think architecturally while also coding and prototyping.
What you’ll do
- Work with clients to shape raw business ideas into AI solutions that can scale.
- Build and test prototypes using AWS services and agent framework technologies.
- Create designs for multi-agent systems with more complex workflow needs.
- Take ownership of the AWS environment across security, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with the CTO from the beginning of the role.
What the role calls for
- About 3 to 5 years of experience in software development, with readiness to operate at an architecture level.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of AWS tools such as Lambda, ECS, Bedrock, SageMaker, DynamoDB, and S3.
- Solid grounding in generative AI, including RAG, prompt engineering, and agent-based workflows.
- Comfortable programming in Python.
- Ability to explain technical ideas clearly to people without a technical background.
- Awareness of security and compliance considerations.
Nice-to-have experience
AWS certifications are an advantage, as is prior exposure to Strands or Bedrock AgentCore.
