Role overview

Blue Oak Consulting is looking for a Junior Frontend Developer to create internal web tools that support its work for a large UK infrastructure group as it expands. The role is centered on converting complicated financial data into clear, interactive interfaces used by principals and clients when assessing high-stakes capital decisions. You will be part of a small remote team building practical applications rather than promotional websites. Much of your work will involve turning analytical needs into usable code and making sure information is displayed accurately and in a way that is easy to understand. Since the team works fully remotely, the role offers plenty of independence while still requiring close coordination with senior principals to keep the software aligned with real financial requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Create and support web-based dashboards that help visualize infrastructure project economics and capital allocation models.
• Partner with senior consultants to interpret user needs and convert them into working interface components.
• Write well-structured, documented JavaScript and CSS so internal tools remain dependable and efficient.
• Check application interfaces carefully to preserve data accuracy across different inputs and scenarios.
• Improve existing tools so they can manage larger data volumes as the UK infrastructure engagement grows.
• Work with the team through video meetings and shared documentation to keep development moving in a remote setup.
• Investigate frontend issues and contribute to better software stability overall.

Requirements

• Basic familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or comparable JavaScript libraries.
