About the role
Saputo is a global dairy business focused on producing quality products, investing in people, and supporting communities. This position sits at the heart of a production setting that mainly manufactures dairy-free items such as Sheese, Cathedral City products, and retailer own-label ranges.
The role is centered on end-of-day cleaning and hygiene work. Once production has finished, you will carry out thorough cleaning of production lines and equipment so everything is safe, hygienic, and ready for the next manufacturing shift. The work includes making sure equipment is isolated correctly, stripping down machinery, using cleaning agents and chemicals appropriately, running some environmental checks, and arranging equipment so it can be rebuilt for the following day.
The shift runs from 6:00 pm to 2:40 am.
Key duties
You will help maintain a high standard of cleanliness across food production and packing areas, supporting safe and efficient operations before the next day’s production begins.
Additional information
Saputo says it offers an inclusive, growth-oriented workplace and supports employment equity. The company also notes that reasonable adjustments can be provided to support candidates through the application and interview process.
For agencies, Saputo indicates that it works with a preferred supplier list if support is needed and does not pay fees or accept CVs unless the candidate has been briefed on the role by the Talent Acquisition team.
In the UK, Saputo produces well-known British food brands and value-added ingredients, including cheeses, dairy spreads, and dairy-free products. Its portfolio includes Cathedral City, Clover, Country Life, Frylight, and Wensleydale. The company also emphasises that every function contributes to its overall success and that colleagues work together to support one another.
Benefits
The role comes with a quarterly bonus scheme, pension contributions, a health cash plan for things like dental and eye care, access to the Thrive wellbeing app, life assurance of up to four times contractual pay, free parking, discounted branded products, and My Staff Shop access for savings and offers from major retailers and service providers.
