Role Overview

Ballyfin Demesne is seeking a Guest Relations Assistant to join its award-winning 5-star team. Reporting to the Front of House Manager, this newly established position is focused on making every guest feel sincerely welcomed, well supported, and carefully looked after from the point of reservation through to departure.

The role calls for a strong eye for detail, polished communication, excellent timing, and the ability to anticipate guest needs before they are spoken. The aim is to create a stay that feels smooth, individually tailored, and memorable long after the guest leaves.

This is a full-time permanent job, scheduled across 5 days out of 7, Monday through Sunday.

Guest Communication and Pre-Arrival Planning

  • Contact guests before arrival to understand their travel plans, preferences, personal interests, and any special requests or requirements.
  • Plan and coordinate the stay in advance so that each guest experiences a refined, personalised welcome from the first interaction onward.

Front of House Duties

  • Handle the day-to-day running of the Front of House desk with composure, accuracy, and the level of professionalism expected in a luxury estate setting.
  • Respond to enquiries in a manner that is clear, considerate, and aligned with the estate’s high standards and presentation.

Guest Experience and In-House Support

  • Arrange and present the in-house activities and distinctive experiences offered at Ballyfin, adapting suggestions to suit each guest’s preferences.
  • Manage guest requests with tact, warmth, and excellent timing so that service feels effortless and attentive.
  • Stay alert to guest needs and respond proactively to help create a calm, comfortable, and quietly luxurious experience.
