Group CFO, APAC

About the role

Our client is a leading organisation in its sector and is growing quickly across the Asia-Pacific region. To support the next stage of regional expansion, they are seeking an accomplished finance executive to join the leadership team in Singapore and take charge of the region’s broader operations.

Key responsibilities

• Work as a trusted adviser to the executive board, providing strategic financial analysis and regional market insight to help drive commercial growth across APAC.
• Manage the day-to-day financial running of the region, with strong governance, accurate group-level reporting, and control across all entities.
• Shape and execute the corporate M&A agenda together with the investment team, including business valuation, due diligence, deal structuring, and integration of acquired businesses.
• Guide, coach, and align small finance teams spread across multiple countries to build a strong, performance-driven culture.
• Support the board with financial planning and market intelligence that enables business expansion throughout the region.
• Strengthen treasury operations, oversee capital deployment, and maintain compliance with statutory and tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions.

Requirements

• A university qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with a recognised professional credential such as CA or CPA.
• At least 15 years of experience in financial management, including no less than 8 years in a senior leadership role overseeing geographically dispersed and culturally diverse teams.
• A strong background as a regional finance head, with deep exposure to complex corporate finance operations across several APAC markets.
• Practical experience in corporate finance and transactions, including direct involvement in challenging regional M&A activity alongside an investment team.
• Demonstrated leadership strength with the ability to guide and motivate teams across borders and cultures.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the credibility to influence C-suite leaders and board members.
• Fluency in both English and Chinese is required to work effectively with regional stakeholders.
