About the Role
Enchanté Accessories is hiring a full-time graphic and packaging designer for its in-house art team in Midtown Manhattan. This role focuses on creating packaging and graphic layouts for a broad range of housewares, lighting, décor, home office, and wall décor products. Candidates should submit a portfolio that showcases recent work.
Key Responsibilities
- Design graphic layouts for packaging and prepare production-ready files for a wide variety of fashion-led housewares, LED lighting, and wall décor products in a high-volume, deadline-focused setting.
- Build appealing product lifestyle visuals and room-setting imagery that align with brand standards and current trends, using Photoshop and Lightroom.
- Assess whether design concepts can be executed effectively and develop packaging solutions that clearly communicate product features and benefits.
- Create packaging mockups and illustrations when needed for presentations and approval rounds.
- Coordinate daily with overseas factories to track packaging projects and help ensure on-time, successful completion.
- Review factory print proofs and mockups, make required edits, and sign off on final packaging samples before production.
- Handle other related assignments as needed.
Skills and Competencies
This position calls for strong Adobe Creative Suite proficiency, especially in Illustrator, Photoshop, and Lightroom. InDesign knowledge is considered an advantage. Advanced Photoshop ability is important for creating lifestyle imagery and adjusting product photos for different finishes, colors, or sizes. The ideal candidate works well in a team, collaborates smoothly with design and product development groups, and reports to the Art Director. A practical problem-solving mindset is essential. Experience creating visuals for presentations and familiarity with packaging construction, deadlines, and technical production packages are both beneficial.
Experience and Education
A BA or BFA in Graphic Design or a related field is required, along with 2 to 5+ years of design experience.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $55,000 to $75,000 per year, depending on experience.
Work Location
This is an onsite position based in Midtown Manhattan, New York.
