Role Overview
An established organization in Toronto is looking for a seasoned Graphic Designer to join its internal creative group. This position supports a range of marketing and communications efforts for both internal and external audiences, with a focus on producing polished visuals that support brand consistency and business goals.
Contract Details and Schedule
This is a 14-month contract with possible extension and potential for conversion. The role follows a hybrid setup based in Toronto, Ontario, with 4 days onsite and 1 day remote. Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a wide variety of marketing and communication materials such as sales brochures, pitch presentations, event collateral, and digital creative assets.
- Build fresh visual ideas while staying aligned with brand standards, templates, and established design systems.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand project needs, present design directions, and carry work through to delivery.
- Design for accessibility and user experience across both print and digital formats.
- Assist with charts, data visuals, and infographic creation.
- Liaise with external vendors for production, printing, and delivery requirements when needed.
Required Background
- At least 4 years of experience in graphic design, ideally in an agency or corporate in-house setting.
- Strong command of Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, After Effects, and Premiere Pro, along with Figma.
- Excellent presentation design skills, especially in PowerPoint, and comfort using Microsoft Office tools.
- Practical understanding of accessibility-focused design principles.
- Ability to work with basic HTML and CSS.
- A solid portfolio showing branding, marketing collateral, presentation work, and digital design examples.
Preferred Experience
- Background in financial services or other corporate environments is an advantage.
- Familiarity with website architecture and app development concepts is helpful.
- Strong verbal and written communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
